Wine & Food Pairing


Today I hosted some wine lovers in the Hunter Valley & the issue of what wine to serve with fine food was addressed.

 



Here Gail from Texas checks out the aroma of a top Hunter Valley Chardonnay in the process of slow fermentation in a new French oak barrique.

 



This is what fermenting Chardonnay juice looks like - cloudy!

 



Gail then exercised her skills as a ''chicken whisperer' with these organically raised chickens at the famous Roberts Restaurant. Perhaps a good Hunter Valley Chardonnay would be the logical wine to serve with these happy & plump hens?

 



George & Gail (USA) & Martin & Robyn (Aust.) & Jill & Stuart (UK) accepted the challenge of finding the right Hunter Valley wine to partner the organically raised chickens!
