The Hunter Valley specialises in producing long ageing white wines made from Semillon, elegant style Chardonnay and spicy Verdelho, as well as earthy style & cellar-worthy Shiraz red wines made from vines planted on their own root stocks in the 1870s.

About Us

I founded Wine Country Tours in 1995 & since its inception it has been the preferred choice of Sydney's top hotels, for their discerning wine interested clientele, who are looking to indulge in a tailored Hunter Valley wine tasting day tour experience from Sydney.

I am a graduate Oenologist (winemaker) from the world renowned Roseworthy School of Oenology & Viticulture, in South Australia. I have worked in the wine trade for 37 years for some of Australia's most internationally successful wineries, including Penfolds and Lindemans. I have also worked with The Wine Society and The Wine Guild and been a guest speaker at many wine conferences both in Australia and internationally.

My goal is to share this knowledge and passion of wine with you and I believe this is best done through a personal wine tasting tour, with exclusive access to the inner workings of the Hunter Valley Wine Country, located just north of Sydney.

My extensive travels throughout the New and Old World of Wine have given me a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for fine wines, which is sure to rub off on you!
